I am a lover of movies, music and pictures. In fact, watching movies is one of my greatest hobbies. So, my quest for a reliable memory flash drive is insatiable.
The last one I bought, (name withheld) crashed after just 2 months of usage, so the search continues until a friend introduced SanDisk products to me.
Then, I decided to go for this SanDisk Ultra, Dual Drive Go USB Type-C model because of my phones. It was then I discovered what I've been missing.
1. The Write Speeds Could Be Faster – While read speeds are okay at 400mb/s, write speeds are significantly lower, which was noticeable when transferring large files.
2. Why Is It A Plastic Build? – It could have been an alloy or stainless built. Being plastic may subject it to easy break at any flimsy excuse. Is should have been made with an unbreakable or a more lasting material. The rotating cover may also loosen over time.
3. It gets warm and heats up during prolonged use, especially when tansferring large files. I know plastics won't be able to withstand too much heat intensity most especially during prolonged usage so, I've expected that.
4. No USB 4.0 Support – UBB 4.0 is the latest USB standards. Not having it is like limiting future-proofing. Although, I got what I wanted.
